What to do with the import of veterinary products?

The receiver of the container has to make a request for inspection with the RVV/ AVV for every import container with veterinary products. These containers will get a customs hold in the system. In answer to this request the customer will receive a number plus the check-point (ACS) for the requested containers. The receiver will make an appointment with ACS for the checking of the container. And after removing the customs hold in the system, the container with the RVV number and a guidance document will be brought to ACS for inspection.

In case of a pre-check, ACT will take care of above routine.
But in all cases the shipping line will need to release the container before it can be brought to the check-point.

When the reefer and it’s contents have been rejected for import, it is up to the importer of the products what will happen.
