Moving from general cargo to container freight was nothing less than a revolution in the industry. For almost 30 years terminals have been based on the same principles all over the world. Amsterdam Container Terminals is  taking the next step in revolutionizing the way containers are handled.

At ACT, we have introduced the revolutionary concept of the large indented berth. This indented berth, with a maximum of 9 post-panamax cranes, allows us to work large vessels with no less than 250 moves (with 9 cranes) per hour - guaranteed.

This drive for innovation has also resulted in the high level of integration of all terminal automation systems, as well as the modern customs regime.

At approximately 3 hours from the pilot station [including the lock process], ACT is easily reachable for all vessels. The absence of tide influences contributes to an optimal work process.
