What to do in case of T5 (restitution) goods?
When arriving at ACT, the T5 will be handed over by the terminal representatives to the customs officer at the terminal. They will archive the T5 document and make the decision to either check the contents of the container by themselves or not. When such a check needs to be performed, the containers will be placed at the customs dock for inspection. After inspection a new seal will be fitted onto the container and the new seal number will be advised to the shipping line.
Customs officers will return the T5 document to ACT for final loading onto the deep-sea vessel.
When the vessel leaves, the T5 documents will be handed in at Customs and they will make sure that the T5 documents will reach the shipper via Heerlen.
